After 20 years of existence, the Kirkland Public Library was is need of renovation and modernizing.
The work included installing a new elevator in the existing entrance to allow for barrier-free access to the basement level, completely renovating the mechanical systems and new lighting in the reading rooms.
In continuity with the existing building, DMA proposed a concept that included the addition of a new entrance not only to signal the renewal of the Library but to open the library towards its community.
