The concept, which encourages collaborative working, aims to create an ecosystem composed of teams from very diverse backgrounds, but all sharing the same research topic.

The Institut québécois d’intelligence artificielle has chosen the Mile-Ex district (6666 and 6650 St-Urbain Street) to set up its new offices in former textile factories. This two-and-a-half storey redevelopment, located in two separate buildings and connected by a walkway, represents a total area of 90,000 square feet.
The concept, which encourages collaborative working, aims to create an ecosystem composed of teams from very diverse backgrounds, but all sharing the same subject of reflection. The spaces and subspaces are interconnected and defined by fluid circulation zones to facilitate the exchange of knowledge throughout the space. This group includes nearly 300 researchers and university students, about 100 managers and development and technology transfer teams from the private sector.
