Awards and Honours

2021 - Grands Prix du Design - Bronze Winner - Higher Education & Research Building

The project consists of the transformation of a former convent into research laboratories dedicated to optics and ophthalmology for the Maisonneuve-Rosemont Hospital Foundation.

Original building built in 4 phases of construction (1934 to 1965), it includes 6 main laboratories, support areas, a conference room and administrative areas.
The adaptation of a religious building into modern laboratories involves a major transformation requiring major structural work and a particular intervention strategy to improve the performance of the building envelope by integrating technical needs and considering the many constraints imposed by the existing system.
